about us
A community for builders, by builders.
We built the place we wanted when we started: somewhere you learn by making something real, and ask the basic question without feeling stupid.
What’s included
Free to join for professionals who want to supercharge their career or business with AI.
The knowledge library
Guides, tested prompts, templates and reusable workflows — everything we have written down, in one place, free to use at work tomorrow. It keeps growing.
Open the moment you are in
Build Nights
We build something live and you watch it happen — the prompts, the dead ends, the fix. Cameras optional, questions welcome, and the method is yours to take.
Live on Zoom, regularly
The builders network
Ask anything and get an answer within a day — from us and from people who already solved it. Show what you are making, and find the person doing it in your industry.
Nothing is too basic to ask
First access to every training — you hear the dates before they are public
A feature on @becomeamaister — when you ship something worth showing
Your cohort keeps its WhatsApp group — long after the week ends
Templates, prompts and checklists — you can use at work tomorrow
Build Nights on Zoom — join live from wherever you are
All of that costs nothing.
The trainings are the only thing we charge for, and you never have to take one.
Founded by two women in tech.
We founded Maister with the realization that we are standing at the dawn of a completely new economy, and so many people are scrambling to work out how to prepare their business or career to rise to the occasion. Both passionate builders and educators, we have worked very closely with AI and wanted to enable others, particularly non-technical people, to do the same. Maister is our vehicle for helping people take the leap, and finding community while figuring it out.

Merthe
Dutch · based in Dubai
Head of Product at Whiteshield, an AI-economics advisory, where she leads the development of AI-native products for governments and institutions. Alongside it she runs her own product company, where software — websites included — is designed, built and shipped with the same tools taught here.
Previously, she founded Whiteshield’s Academy, where she developed training and certification for governments, and taught business courses at the University of Groningen. Everywhere she learned the same thing: people learn best by doing.

Leina
Senegalese · based in Dakar
A tech entrepreneur, strategist and teacher, Leina is passionate about the future of work. She runs her own technology company and lectures in HR technology, HRIS and artificial intelligence at Master’s and executive level at ISM Dakar, after a background in strategy consulting and with the leadership team of Workleap in Montreal.
In Canada she was lead organizer of Techstars Startup Weekend: up to 300 participants and one challenge, turning an idea into a demonstrable prototype in 54 hours. With Maister, her ambition is simple: to take professionals from simply using AI to building, innovating and transforming the way they work.
A few things we built
Everything we teach, we have built ourselves.
Websites, software and agents, all designed and shipped with the tools in the guides — no development team.
our philosophy
Three rules we will not break.
1
Learning by doing
You open the tools on the first day and work on your own project, not an exercise. Nobody learns this from a slide about it.
2
Leave with something real
Every training ends with a website, an agent or a workflow that is live. Every guide ends with the same thing finished.
3
Show, not tell
We build in front of you — the prompts, the dead ends and the fix — instead of describing how it would go.
for organizations
Want to train a whole team instead?
Maister also runs applied AI programs inside companies — same method, built around the work your team already does.
