Four people building an agent together around a table in Dakar

is this you?

You already use AI. You just do all the work of asking it.

the weekly grind

The same task, every week, with the same prompt you paste in from a note.

Reports, summaries, invoices, outreach, scheduling.

the inbox

Things arrive, you read them, you sort them. Nothing happens until you do it.

Inquiries, bookings, forms, applications.

the job you never get to

You know what should be automated. You have never had a week to build it.

Follow-ups, research, content, bookkeeping.

by the end of day two

One agent doing a job you used to do.

  • A working agent that runs end to end on a real task from your own week.
  • A trigger, so it runs on a schedule or on an event rather than when you remember.
  • A handoff point where it stops and asks you, so you can trust it with things that matter.
  • A pitch to your leadership: the numbers your agent actually saved, and how to present it so the people above you back it and the company adopts it.
  • A way to judge the next one: which tasks are worth automating, and which never will be.

the curriculum

Ten modules over two days, on one job of your own.

Day oneChoose the job, and build the first version
01

Find the right task

Pick a use case that is repetitive, tedious, and doesn’t need your judgment at every step.

02

System prompt design

Write the instructions that turn a general model into your agent: its role, its rules and your context.

03

Choose your LLM

Pick the model that fits the job, rather than the most talked-about one.

04

Tool integrations

Connect the agent to the tools where your work actually lives, around a single source of truth.

05

Build skills

Package each recurring job into a reusable skill: the steps, the rules and the output format, written once and reused every time.

Day twoMake it safe, let it run, and prove it works
06

Build memories

Make the agent remember what matters from one run to the next, so you stop repeating yourself.

07

Keep a human in the loop

Decide what the agent does alone and what waits for your approval.

08

User interface

Give the agent a place where you and your team see its work and act on it in a few clicks.

09

Turn on autopilot

Move from an agent you launch to an agent that works on schedule, without being asked.

10

Prove it, present it, scale it

Measure what the agent delivers, get leadership to adopt it, then build the next one.

Each module: we explain it, you try it with us in the room, then you build it on your own task. Two hours of prep before day one, and a one-hour clinic the week after.

Leina Diaw

your host

Leina teaches this one.

Leina Diaw is a co-owner of Maister and lives in Dakar. She teaches AI and HR technology, and she builds the kind of systems she teaches about — which is why the agent you leave with gets judged by somebody who ships these for a living.

  • She runs her own software venture, building enterprise and AI-enabled systems — ERP, CRM, inventory and reporting — for mid-sized companies in West Africa.
  • She lectures at ISM Dakar in HR technology, HRIS and AI, at Master’s and MBA level. Case-based: every participant works on real companies and real problems, with a teaching approach that puts practice and the concrete application of knowledge first.
  • And she has sat where your leadership sits. She worked in strategy and M&A for the leadership of Workleap, in the Canadian tech ecosystem — so the pitch you build on day two is written for people who have to say yes.
  • She has done this at scale: as lead organizer of Techstars Startup Weekend in Canada she took groups of two to three hundred people from a problem statement to a tested prototype in three days.

what you get

Everything that comes with a seat.

Not a course you watch. Two days in a room in Dakar with us, and the people who built alongside you, for as long as you want them. None of it is sold separately — the figures on the right are what each part is worth.

Everything a seat includes

A one-to-one session before the training

We talk through your objectives, your challenges, the kind of agent you want to build and the environment you work in, so the two days are shaped around your own needs and get you to your objective.

Included (worth 90,000 FCFA)

A template to ask your employer to pay

A ready-to-send request for your manager or leadership, setting out what the training is, what it will bring the business and what it costs, so your seat can come out of the company’s budget.

Included (worth 20,000 FCFA)

Two days in the room with us

In person in Dakar, in a group of ten. You build an agent for a job on your own week, not a demo — and we are at your shoulder while you do it.

Included (worth 360,000 FCFA)

A follow-up clinic to overcome any blockers

One hour online, one week after the training, once your agent has run a few times for real. We look at how it is performing, help you solve the problems that have come up, make improvements, and look at the impact it has had so far.

Included (worth 90,000 FCFA)

The leadership pitch template

A presentation template you adapt to the agent you built, to present it to your leadership: what it does, the hours it gives back, what it costs to run and what it should do next, so it gets adopted rather than staying on your laptop.

Included (worth 20,000 FCFA)

Your cohort’s WhatsApp group

A private WhatsApp group for the ten of you, inside the Maister community. It opens the week before and never closes. Post the thing you are stuck on at ten at night and somebody who was stuck on it that morning answers — and share the moment your agent runs on its own for the first time. We are in there both evenings.

Included (worth 30,000 FCFA)

The Maister community

Free access to everything the community offers: the knowledge library of guides, prompts and templates, regular Build Nights on Zoom where we build something live and you watch, a network where you can ask anything and show what you are making, and first access to every new training.

Included (free for everyone)

A feature on Maister social media channels

If you approve, we showcase what you’ve built on LinkedIn and Instagram, so you can show off your achievements to your professional network.

Included (entirely up to you)

questions

Before you join.

Where and when does it happen?

In person in Dakar, Senegal, over two consecutive days: 12–13 December 2026, 16–17 or 23–24 January 2027. The venue is confirmed with your seat, and everyone enrolled hears first.

What counts as a good task to bring?

Something you do at least weekly, that follows roughly the same steps each time, and where you could describe to a new colleague what “done well” looks like. If you are not sure, bring two and we will pick on day one.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the job and the AI writes what it needs. What you learn is how to specify it, how to see what it actually did, and how to stop it doing the wrong thing confidently.

Will it work with the tools I already use?

Usually. Email, calendars, spreadsheets, documents and most common business tools are reachable. We check yours in the prep, before the training starts, so nothing surprises you on the day.

Is this safe to point at my real work?

The second day is largely about that: what the agent may touch, where it has to stop and ask you, and how to read back what it did. You will not leave with something running unsupervised over anything that matters.

What if my agent is simpler than everyone else’s?

Good. A small agent that runs every week beats an ambitious one that never gets trusted. The point is one real job, permanently handed over.
