What you will get

a reusable 250-word "About me" profile.

A well-briefed colleague does better work. When Claude knows you are the HR manager of an 80-person SME, it will not suggest a strategy designed for a multinational. This was the first thing I did, and the one that improved its answers the most. You do not have to write your profile alone: Claude will interview you.

  1. Open a new conversation, outside any Project.
  2. Copy prompt P1 below and send it.

Prompt P1

Get to know me

What this prompt does: Claude interviews you over a few exchanges, then writes your profile.

You are going to help me create my "About me" profile, a document I will reuse so that Claude knows me better. You know nothing about me: do not assume anything and do not make anything up.

1. Ask me no more than 3 questions at a time and wait for my answers.
2. Cover, in this order: my background and education; my current role and responsibilities; my skills; my current projects; my values; my interests.
3. If an answer is vague, ask me for a concrete example.
4. After 4 or 5 exchanges, tell me whether you have enough to work with.

Then write my profile:
<format>
# About me
- Who I am (2 sentences)
- Background and education
- What I do today
- Key skills
- Current projects
- Values and beliefs
- Interests
</format>

250 words maximum, in the first person, based only on my answers. If information is missing, write [TO COMPLETE].
Start with your first questions.

Your result A structured 250-word profile.

Next step Keep it; you will consolidate it in chapter 4.

  1. Answer with concrete examples: a project, a figure, a recent decision. 4 to 5 exchanges are enough.
  2. Copy the final profile into an "About me" document.

You don't need a background like mine: three simple profiles

Employee. "Accountant at a distribution company in Abidjan for 4 years. I handle invoicing and bank reconciliation. I want to save time on monthly reporting."

Entrepreneur. "I run a 6-person communications agency in Dakar. Clients: SMEs and NGOs. I handle sales and proposals myself. My challenge: responding to tenders faster."

Student. "Master's student in HR. I am writing a thesis on onboarding in SMEs. I write well, but I lack a method to structure my research."

Real example
